EVERY DAY IN THE SUN: A MEMOIR OF THE FAULKNERS OF MISSISSIPPI offers a rare glimpse at the notoriously private life of Nobel Prize winner William Faulkner and his family by the niece he helped raise. The book is honest, frank, entertaining and revealing.

DEAN FAULKNER WELLS (pictured below from our Wall of Fame) grew up in William Faulkner's house and called him "Pappy". Considered by many the most important author of the twentieth century, he thought of Dean more as his daughter, since her father, William's brother was killed in a plane crash before her birth. Probably because it was in her blood, she was an author and editor. Sadly, she passed away a few months after visiting our store. R.I.P. Dean Faulkner Wells, and thank you for signing our books.
