A LOWCOUNTRY LIFE includes Pat's never-before-published blogs, as well as a meaningful introduction by Cassandra and a beautiful tribute by Pat's close friend Rick Bragg.
THIS COPY (shown below) was hand signed by Pat's widow, Cassandra King on the half title page during our Pat Conroy Tribute at the Doubletree Hotel on October 27, 2016, the official launch of the book. It is a new, unread first edition opened only for signing and comes with a certificate authenticating the signature. Published in October, 2016 by Nan A. Talese/Doubleday, an imprint of Penguin Random House.
PAT CONROY (pictured below from our Wall of Fame) was one of the store's best friends, and signed every new book for a quarter century here, and regularly signed his older titles. Without question, he was one of the most beloved storytellers in America. We, along with a local author and a local librarian claim credit for introducing him to Sandra, the love of his life. We will miss him and forever pay tribute.
VIDEO was shot on August 18, 2009 at The Doubletree Hotel. It was a benefit for NPR and also includes appearances by Rick Bragg and Cassandra King.
