THE HUNTER KILLERS: THE EXTRAORDINARY STORY OF THE FIRST WILD WEASELS, THE BAND OF MAVERICK AVIATORS is about a top secret program to search and destroy surface-to-air missile sites at the beginning of the Viet Nam War. This scary concept called for our planes to hone in on a missile site that was blowing them out of the sky and get them first. Who better to tell the story than a talented writer, who actually had the same job more than a generation earlier.
