DAN HAMPTON (pictured below from our Wall of Fame) is a retired Air Force pilot who flew 151 combat missions with a total of 726 career combat hours. He fought in The Gulf War, The Kosova War and the Iraq War. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross, the Air Medal with Valor , the Meritorious Service Medal and the Purple Heart. He flew the famous F16, known as the Wild Weasels whose mission was to hunt down and destroy Surface-To-Air missile sites (SAM), considered the most dangerous job in the air.
