A WILD WINTER SWAN is another innovative riff on a beloved classic tale by Maguire, following up successful retellings of The Wizard of Oz, Alice in Wonderland, and many others. This novel is based on Hans Christian Andersen's "The Wild Swans," now set in 1960s New York City at Christmastime, and follows a young Italian-American woman's coming of age.
