“The Wicked Gambler” is a character who appears in one of the stories in this new collection of stories from the world of Matthew Corbett. In his author photo for the book, Robert McCammon had makeup artist and photographer Amanda Chapman create “The Wicked Gambler" for his author photo, and has also written a short story entitled The Wicked Gambler and His Walking Cane to tell the origin of the titular cane from the image (shown below).
You can read the story on Robert McCammon's website here.
The elegant walking stick itself will be the prize in a giveaway at the event. Each purchase of SEVEN SHADES OF EVIL from Alabama Booksmith comes with one entry in the drawing. The drawing will be held immediately following the book discussion and prior to the booksigning.
