Signed slipcase editions of To Kill a Mockingbird

Huge News! Slipcase edition of To Kill a Mockingbird with bookplate signed by Harper Lee now available.

We had two copies of To Kill a Mockingbird in a cloth slipcase, with original 1960 jacket design, ribbon marker, and bookplate signed by Harper Lee. One copy was in a drawing - for every $5 donation to the Alabama Humanities Foundation, an entry was put in a container. On August 11, 2010, Harper Lee biographer Kerry Madden drew the name of Sandra Storm as the lucky winner.

The other copy was auctioned. We had on-line, phone and in-store bidding that was furious up until 6:00 pm. The winning bid was by Tommy Poe for $2,300. One hundred percent of all proceeds from the auction and raffle went to The Alabama Humanities Foundation. We raised over $5,000. Thank you for your generosity!

These bookplates were signed by Harper Lee for the Humanities Foundation at a luncheon in her honor.  We now have a few more of these beautiful, valuable collector’s treasures.  The price at this posting is $1,185 and will go on a first come, first sold basis. A portion of the sale goes to The Alabama Humanities Foundation.
